The following is a brief description from the Uncle John’s Dirty Ride Event promoter:
Uncle John’s Dirty Ride is a chip timed cycling event across the flat, fast, dirt roads of Gratiot County, Michigan. Utilizing the ever popular Uncle John’s Cider Mill grounds as the start/finish, the course(s) will traverse through the wooded Saginaw/Gratiot Game Area and backroads lined with10 foot high corn fields. 99% of the course is on dirt roads.
Riders will have two options to choose from, a 56 mile route or a 24 mile route.
The event is geared for riders of all ages and abilities; seasoned racers closing out their road season, mountain bikers, cross racers, weekend warriors, fitness enthusiasts or riders that simply want to enjoy the Michigan countryside on a late summer day. . . .
