Who remembers the classic Griz Guides? This Social Media Shares: Griz Guides Seven Mountains Enduro Epic Route introduces you to one volume. . . .
I picked up a copy of the Mountain Biking Bald Eagle State Forest guide at the height of the pandemic. One ride that immediately stood out was the Seven Mountains Enduro Epic near the Sand Mountain area of Bald Eagle State Forest. The area is unique and amazing.
Apparently, many of the trails were created by the Seven Mountains Ramblers for dual-sport trail bikes (i.e., street legal motocross bikes). Griz describes the route, in part, as follows: “[c]overing loads of singletrack miles, crazy climbs and kamikaze descents, this route is truly a mountain riders’ dream.”
I created a tweaked version of the route on Ride with GPS, and have been wanting to ride it for a minute. We got a chance to get out on route last weekend. It certainly lived up to the description. Put this one on your list. Below is the link to the RWGPS route.
Ironically, the Trans-Sylvania Mountain Bike Epic starts today, and Stage 1 takes on a similar route. Good luck to those riding #eastcoastrocks at #singletracksummercamp this week. They will certainly enjoy today’s stage!
